Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using HanziPic, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the app immediately. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of these terms and any future updates.
These terms create a binding legal agreement between you and the HanziPic development team, establishing clear expectations for both parties.
Service Description & Core Features
HanziPic leverages advanced AI technology to transform your Chinese language learning experience. Our platform provides intelligent character recognition and personalized learning materials designed to accelerate your mastery of Chinese.
AI Character Recognition
Capture Chinese text from images using cutting-edge machine learning. Our AI engine processes characters in real-time with high accuracy.
Smart Learning Cards
Automatically generated study materials featuring vocabulary, grammar patterns, cultural context, and pronunciation guides.
Learning Records
Track your progress with "My Works" - a comprehensive system that organizes your learning history and achievements.
Export Tools
Premium members can export learning materials in CSV, Markdown, or Anki format for offline study and integration with other tools.
Service Limitations & Important Notices

Recognition Accuracy
AI-powered recognition depends on image quality, lighting conditions, and model performance. While our technology is highly accurate, we cannot guarantee 100% perfect results in all scenarios.
For critical learning materials, we recommend verifying recognition results against authoritative sources.

AI-Generated Content
Learning materials including vocabulary definitions, grammar explanations, cultural notes, and pronunciation guides are generated using artificial intelligence.
These materials are designed for educational purposes and should be verified for accuracy, especially when used for formal study or examination preparation.

Export Functionality
Export features are available exclusively to Premium subscribers and are provided "as-is." We strive for compatibility but cannot guarantee perfect integration with all third-party applications.
Users are responsible for backing up exported data and verifying compatibility with their chosen study tools.
Account Options & Cloud Sync
Anonymous Usage
Start using HanziPic immediately without signing in. An anonymous account is automatically created when you upload your first image, allowing seamless processing without personal identification.
Sign in with Apple
Optional integration with your Apple ID enables CloudKit synchronization across all your devices. Access your learning records, favorites, and works wherever you go.
Flexible & Private
Sign-in and sync are completely optional features. You can subscribe to membership plans and access premium features without linking to your Apple ID if you prefer.

Payment & Renewal Terms
All subscription fees are processed securely through your Apple ID and charged to your App Store account. By confirming a purchase, you agree to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
Auto-Renewal Policy: Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date. Manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
Free Trials: If eligible for a free trial, you'll be charged the subscription price after the trial period ends unless you cancel beforehand. Purchasing a subscription during an active trial immediately terminates the remaining trial time.
Restore Purchases
How It Works
Tap "Restore Purchases" in the membership section to recover your subscription benefits. The process uses StoreKit 2 and your Apple ID to verify eligibility without additional charges.
New Device Setup
Switching to a new iPhone or iPad? Restore purchases to instantly access your subscription benefits on your new device using the same Apple ID.
After Reinstalling
If you deleted and reinstalled HanziPic, restore purchases to reconnect your account and resume premium features without repurchasing.
Verify Status
Use restore purchases to confirm your active subscription status if benefits aren't displaying correctly after updates or device changes.
User Conduct & Acceptable Use
To maintain a safe, legal, and high-quality service for all users, you agree to the following conduct guidelines:
Protect Intellectual Property
Do not copy, modify, distribute, or sell this app or its content without authorization. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to crack security mechanisms is strictly prohibited.
Lawful Usage Only
Use HanziPic exclusively for legal purposes. Do not upload images or content that violates laws, regulations, or infringes on others' rights.
Respect Export Limits
Exported learning materials are for personal educational use. Commercial redistribution or unauthorized sharing of exported content requires proper authorization.
Fair Service Usage
Do not abuse or exploit the AI recognition service through excessive API calls, automated requests, or attempts to circumvent usage limits.

Enforcement: Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access to HanziPic. We reserve the right to pursue legal action for serious violations that harm our service or other users.
Content Ownership & Intellectual Property
Developer Rights
All aspects of HanziPic—including the user interface, icons, design elements, text, algorithms, AI models, and output results—are owned by the developer or authorized parties and protected by intellectual property laws.
Your Usage Rights
You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use HanziPic on your personal devices for educational purposes. This license does not permit commercial redistribution, resale, or public display of the app or its content.
Learning materials you generate using HanziPic are for your personal study use. Commercial use of exported materials requires separate authorization from the developer.
Disclaimers, Liability & Legal Terms
Service Disclaimers
HanziPic is designed as a language learning assistant tool. We do not guarantee complete accuracy of recognition results or AI-generated content. Recognition quality depends on image quality, lighting, and AI model capabilities.
We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by network outages, system maintenance, third-party service failures, or circumstances beyond our control.
Limitation of Liability
The developer's liability for any direct or indirect losses arising from your use of HanziPic is limited to the total amount you paid for subscriptions during your use. Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations, so this may not apply to you.
For data loss or damage during use, we will provide reasonable assistance but are not liable beyond what applicable law requires.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use based on product improvements or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or version notes. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance of revised terms.
Termination Rights
You may uninstall HanziPic or cancel your subscription anytime. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if you violate these terms or engage in misconduct that harms our service or other users.
Governing Law & Contact Information
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of your jurisdiction. Disputes should be resolved through friendly negotiation; if unsuccessful, either party may file suit in a court of competent jurisdiction.
